The Account Manager position, working under the direction of the Consultant, will provide client services through independent and proactive critical thinking and analysis. The Account Manager will communicate to our clients benefit options and make recommendations that are cost-effective, aligned with employer strategy, and maintain a high quality of benefit coverage. The Account Manager will also respond to client inquiries and ensure the resolution of problems. This position will lead efforts to communicate and process benefit enrollment, billing, claims and other service related issues in an efficient and effective manner.
Required Skills/Experience:
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
4-yr College degree with concentration in Risk Management/Insurance preferred
Experience
1 year of client service experience required
2+ years client services experience in a health benefits or insurance setting preferred
Licensure
Individual Resident Producer or other related Life, Accident, Health Insurance certification is required
Must complete required certification hours to maintain licensure
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to regularly exercise independent creative thinking and exceed our client’s expectations. The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to groups of employees and individuals in a professional manner is critical.
Compensation:
Salary Range is $37K to $46K/year plus commission commensurate with experience.
